This was the first day without mobile phone and to be honest, I barely noticed it. of course, life has been a lot more quiet, without constantly incoming text messages but all in all, I did not notice a huge difference of life standard or quality.

I had to grin when I was watching the noughties… was that it when they announced that texting was the number one for the ending decade. Of course they are right and probably more than broadband has done for our culture, society, texting has changed a lot more.

But all in all, except for the odd moment when I wanted to check what was on TV (I love the tvguide.co.uk app [iTunes link]) it was a day just like any other and except that one time I wanted to make a call I could not have told that something had changed.
