It had to happen at some point and probably there have been ample submissions for similar apps before but they were all knocked back by Apple Inc. Finally though, for woman with a Jesus phone, the phone now really can rise up to its name and become a vibrator.

Adult store My Pleasure has released its MyVibe app (iTunes link). The application offers different settings in intervals and buzz-power.

Disclosure: We did not try the application out, but obviously installed it for future reference. Surprisingly the application is rated 4+.

24 Songs or $1.92m

A jury ruled Thursday that Jammie Thomas-Rasset must pay fines totaling $1.92 million to the RIAA, as a penalty for violating the copyrights on 24 songs. This equates to $80.000 a song.

After an earlier trial in 2007 Jammie Thomas-Rasset was condemned to pay $220.000 for the 24 shared songs, or $9250 a song. According to a spokes man she was offered to settle for between $3000 and $5000 a track. It is good to see that the business industry has a new business model.

Programming the deadliest AI

Programmers attending the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers symposium will attempt to program AI to destroy us all in a game of DEFCON.

Part of the symposium is a sort of “Turing Test” challenge, in which contestants program an AI to play a videogame. The objective is to try to trick a panel of human judges into thinking the AI is a human player. This year’s videogame is DEFCON, the brilliant nuclear war strategy game from indie developer Introversion. A group of talented programmers will pitch their DEFCON bot against enemy bots in a series of one-on-one thermonuclear chess games. The winner is the programmer whose bot successfully annihilates its opponents and racks up the highest death count. IEEE is offering a $500 prize to the deadliest DEFCON AI bot competition winner.

We say WTF to this overpriced aquarium netbook for divers.
